Martin is originally from Saline, MI and became interested in physical therapy after the positive impact it had on both him as a patient and his family. He understands how debilitating an injury and pain can be. Martin graduated with his Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise Science from Eastern Michigan University in 2016 and later earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Western Kentucky University in 2021. While at WKU Martin volunteered at the local Rock Steady Boxing affiliate where he assisted those with Parkinson’s Disease improve their quality of life through a non-contact boxing curriculum. Martin practiced outpatient orthopedics in Louisville, KY prior to returning to Michigan to join the team at First Rehab & Sport in July 2022.
Martin’s clinical interests include post-operative care, return to sport rehabilitation, performance training and the wide variety of orthopedic conditions presented in the outpatient setting. He is also certified in dry needling. Martin’s goal is to provide his patients individualized care to restore their abilities, optimize how they move, maximize their potential, and prevent any future injuries.
In his free time Martin enjoys spending time with his wife and dog, hiking, running, golfing, playing basketball and watching Detroit sports.
