How It Works
Our licensed therapists will build an individual plan to help you reach your full potential.
Several areas will be assessed:
- Activity specific weaknesses
- Functional movement screens
- Range of motion testing
- Joint mobility testing
- Posture & alignment
- Strength testing
As movement experts, Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants are uniquely qualified to provide performance training. Training sessions may include testing, exercises, video analysis, education, and manual therapy techniques to improve joint mobility and tissue extensibility.
Performance training differs from physical therapy. Physical therapy is designed to decrease pain, increase functional mobility, and rehab patients after injury. Sports performance training is designed to prepare an athlete for optimum performance in a specific sport. The purpose is to work on those things that will translate into improved performance for that sport.
